Working Alongside Physiotherapy
At The Massage Company, our massage therapists work closely with our National Physiotherapist to ensure massage and physiotherapy truly complement one another. This joined-up approach helps us deliver the highest standard of care for our customers and members, while also supporting therapists with clinical insight, guidance, and shared best practice. By combining hands-on massage expertise with physiotherapy knowledge, we create a more holistic, effective experience for clients — and a more supportive, collaborative environment for our therapists.
The TMC Training Programme
Our structured five-day induction programme is mandatory for all new therapists who join The Massage Company. It builds on the skills learned through formal qualifications and applies them to our proven approach to client care and technique. Only after successfully completing the programme can a therapist work with clients.
Once qualified, training never stops. Our National Training Team and Lead Therapists provide regular performance reviews, hands-on support, and advanced workshops to ensure every therapist continues to grow. Ongoing learning is embedded in our culture, allowing our teams to refine their skills and expand their knowledge throughout their careers.
We also offer accredited course modules at set milestones, helping therapists achieve recognised qualifications that complement their professional development.
Accreditation and Certification
In partnership with Think Tree Hub, an internationally recognised awarding body, The Massage Company has achieved full certification for our internal training. This partnership provides external validation of our programme’s quality and consistency.
Our commitment goes beyond technical skill. We are actively involved in research that explores the medical and wellbeing benefits of massage therapy, helping demonstrate the measurable impact of our work on clients’ health and quality of life.
